Introduction

Choosing the right university for education is often one of the most important and challenging decisions in a student's life. Lorestan University welcomes students who can participate in learning and gain a comprehensive educational experience, and those who can successfully achieve their goals at this university. The International Scientific Cooperation Office of Lorestan University officially began its work in the field of the university presidency in mid-2001. The activities of this office are carried out in line with the duties defined by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the approval of the Management and Planning Organization of the country, so that the necessary grounds can be provided for the development of relations between universities inside and outside the country. The International and Scientific Cooperation Office manages and supervises the international affairs of foreign students studying at our university. In addition, the office is responsible for preparing and implementing international student exchange programs and signing and implementing memoranda of understanding, along with participating in international seminars and conferences, as well as cooperating with university partners. We welcome international incoming students and visiting staff and provide various services for them. Excellence and diversity are values that help a university grow and flourish, and this is strictly pursued at Lorestan University. Our success at Lorestan University lies in our educational approach, which values the individual, professional, and intellectual advancement of students. Students of Lorestan University are from different age groups and are studying from different backgrounds, regions, and countries. This factor causes students to gain a wide range of different experiences and enrich the educational community through their interests.

Duties

The International Scientific Cooperation Office of Lorestan University started its activities after the establishment of the university in order to establish communication and cooperation conditions, as well as to obtain information about the most important scientific achievements of the world. In recent years, due to the progress made in the field of communications and information technology, which has resulted in globalization, the scope of activities of the International Scientific Cooperation Office has also increased and plays a much more significant role than in the past in today's world. • Expanding cooperation and concluding international contracts with universities, organizations, and scientific research institutions • Encouraging educational groups to participate in international conferences and seminars • Taking action to conclude contracts and follow up on activities related to holding joint international courses • Performing foreign correspondence of the university with universities and scientific centers outside the country • Taking action to hold international seminars and conferences at the university • Inviting prominent international scientific figures and taking action to hold training workshops • Following up on the necessary measures for the visit of international officials and guests • Establishing communication with Iranian representatives abroad and obtaining the necessary information for various purposes • Communication and cooperation with international organizations determining university rankings • Participating in international scientific and educational exhibitions • Taking the necessary measures to obtain travel permits for staff (employees and faculty members) to go abroad • Cooperation in order to create the ground for scientific and educational cooperation with foreign universities. • Taking the necessary measures to attract non-Iranian students and create a trans-national scientific environment • Creating the necessary conditions for attracting and following up the admission process of international students • Following up on the necessary measures and coordination to conclude international memoranda of understanding with the aim of student exchange • Coordination and follow-up of matters related to passing doctoral and post-doctoral courses for foreign applicants • Following up on the activities of the Persian Language Education Center for Non-Persian Speakers (Azfa) • Preparing and compiling international catalogs and brochures of the university • Taking the necessary actions to recognize the capacities and advantages existing in the university at international levels
